Le Petomane
Talk about last minute, I got us a gig because we just loved making noise (it first started with Samahtikahlay). Basically the guy at More Fun Comics was looking for an opening act with his band (Black Mountain), so I lied and said I had a band. Next thing you know, Pat and Will are dragged into playing this gig; at first they didn't wanna do it, so I promised them I would sit down and write some songs for the show; I did--Pat did too. The gig went well, but it was instrumental; my chord was making my amp grumble throughout, but it added to the show. We covered a song from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me ([The Pink Room]) and made noise over the opening song from Herzog's Even Dwarves Started Small. The show went so well, we decided to record the songs with a Tascam 4 track recorder, but this time I asked Will to put a mic in front of me--just to see. We were excited about the recordings, but we wanted a better recording; we called Brad Theard from 16/17 Records and soon enough he engineered I Trust You Are Going to the Grand Duke's for a Wolf Hunt.
